The 2008 campaign produced positive results demonstrating that the 'Sin Bin' / 'Guilty Not Charged' campaign has been successful for a second year running.
The adverts
- 37% to 42% increased awareness
- A rise in people claiming to dispose of gum properly 2008 (62%) vs 2007 (44%)
- Spontaneous campaign awareness was 44%
Campaign message
- 73% of gum droppers said the ad is likely to make them stop
- 81% said it made them realise that there is a fine
- 6 in 10 said it made them feel guilty about dropping gum

- An overall reduction as high as 62% in some areas
